HOSPITALITY KNOWS NO BOUNDARIES
Hospitality knows no boundaries. The Friedrich Hospitality Foundation emerged from this conviction. Our non-profit organization has set itself the goal of laying the foundations for a solid education in the hospitality industry and providing a career perspective for socially disadvantaged people. Education is the cornerstone that we lay for the future, because those who have a good education have better chances in life.
The FHF addresses individual challenges in the education system of the respective project country and deals with all questions that arise in the development of education:
Who has access to education?
Many young people are denied education because of their social or financial situation. In these cases, we cover the costs for vocational training, e.g. through scholarships.
What is the curriculum content?
We pay attention to a high quality of teaching that meets international standards. We coordinate the curricula together with other universities and train the teachers if necessary.
Is the teaching sustainable?
To ensure that travelling helps the country and its people in the long term, we attach great importance to the fact that sustainable tourism is conveyed through the teaching in order to create an awareness for the culture and the environment.
Are there enough schools?
Particularly in emerging countries, education often fails because schools are overcrowded or too far away and therefore not accessible. We make teaching possible by, for example, building new training kitchens and classrooms.
Why education in the hospitality industry?
We are proud of our profession and the values it conveys: Willingness to help, cordiality, tolerance and diligence, to name but a few. Through our profession, we have learned for life on many different levels and would like to give the next generation the chance to gain these experiences as well. That’s why it’s particularly important to us to cultivate and enliven the culture of hospitality by supporting young talent – on a professional and idealistic level.
For the future of the industry and for the future of individuals.
