Nobody leaves their country if there are good prospects for the future. Promoting education is the best way to advance development. This Movie, commissioned by the DMG, illustrates the situation in Mozambique which is one of the poorest countries in the world.
The organization German – Mozambican Society e.V. (DMG) has been running several projects in various regions of the country for several years, helping children and young people to complete schooling and vocational training.
More than 2,500 children and young people graduated every year. For the development of the community this is a very important step for better and safer future. The Friedrich Hospitality Foundation gGmbH (FHF) is supporting the growth of the Vocational Training Center in Vilankulo by constructing a new building in the gastronomy area. In the near future, a training kitchen will be built here where gastronomic professions will be taught. A successfully completed course, is the first step towards independence and the best way to overcome poverty.
In addition to this project, DMG has other cooperation projects in which it runs eight preschools, five schools and three training centers and is a co-founder of the Catholic University of Beira.
