Wie und Was wir unterstützen wollen
Two of our six scholarship students from the training year 2018-2019 would have been given the opportunity in 2020 to do a 3-month internship abroad at the "Vier Vierjahreszeiten “ hotel in Schluchsee (Black Forest) after successfully completing their school. For this, their employer in Cabo Verde would have given them time off during the low season.
The internship abroad would have been a recognition of their above-average performance during their training and would have further increased their qualifications. This would have made them eligible for other positions in their companies.
However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this was not possible as borders and hotels were closed.
As soon as the situation has normalized, it will be examined if the internship abroad can be re-organized.

The Black Forest offers a unique and diverse natural landscape: mountains, forests, meadows, gorges, lakes. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Germany. In the middle of the Black Forest lies the Schluchsee, which offers a variety of leisure activities for vacationers and tourists. The largest lake in the Black Forest is one of Germany's cleanest bathing lakes and invites visitors to swim, relax, go biking or jogging.
