Our non-profit organization has set itself the task of building a fully comprehensive vocational school in 3 construction phases. In addition, we plan to send trained professionals from Germany to Mozambique after the construction is completed. They will train the teachers there for the new lessons and help out with the development of the teaching content. The province of Inhambane has a high potential in tourism. The main attraction is the Bazaruto archipelago. The group of islands off the coast of Mozambique in the Indian Ocean belongs to the 1,400 m² Bazaruto National Park, one of the largest marine protected areas in Africa.

Tourism is very active in the region, there are also a lot of hotels. However, the education of the employees is very poor due to the fact that there are no vocational schools. This leads to the fact that the employees are very poorly paid and have little future prospects. A side effect is that fewer and fewer people choose this profession, which is often not possible due to the lack of alternatives.

The local vocational school in Mozambique trains young Mozambicans as craftsmen, bricklayers, electricians and bartenders. The training professions are now to be expanded to include cooks and kitchen assistants, as there is a demand for skilled workers. However, a training kitchen with the appropriate equipment and teaching staff is still lacking.
